Brentwood’s Town Center one step closer

Planning Commission Gives Nod to Two New Town Center Buildings

Approval from the city Planning Commission has brought Brentwood’s Town Center one step closer to the vision community leaders have for it as a fulcrum of commercial and residential activity in the city. The Commission approved site plans and the revised final plat presented by Brookside Properties for two new buildings. Three lots (including the former home of the Carriage House Cleaners) have been consolidated into one.

The first building will be 10,500 square feet. It will be home to Pinnacle Financial Partners. The second building, 10,000 square feet in size, will serve as a mixed-use, retail center. No tenants have been announced at this time. An adjacent parking lot will be constructed to support the functions of the two buildings.

The developer is working with city staff to review demolition plans to prepare for construction. The property owner will also present construction plans for the building for additional review by city staff.

The site plan for the Pinnacle Bank and retail center is only the third that has been approved in Brentwood’s Town Center. The first was the Stroud’s Barbeque and the second was the Towne Centre Theatre.

“This approval is helping to move Town Center along,” said Jeff Dobson in the Planning Office. “It could spur everything into action.”
